joey b Posted December 29, 2005 Report Posted December 29, 2005 I need some connectors for the 3.4L spark plugs. They have a different design that is longer and has a larger diameter neck to prevent it from being pushed back up into the boot. I need new wires, but will have to cut them to custom length and need the connector end that attaches to the plug itself. Is it possible to go larger than 7mm? Going through the boot it is pretty tight with the 7's in there and I would like to go larger. Anybody know a website or supplier that could help me out? Quote
GOT2B GM Posted December 29, 2005 Report Posted December 29, 2005 Magnecor makes up to 8.5mm 3.4 DOHC wires. I got mine from: http://www.apexperformance.net/ Direct link to product: http://www.apexperformance.net/cartgenie/prodInfo.asp?pid=559&cid=10 Quote
joey b Posted December 30, 2005 Author Report Posted December 30, 2005 the problem is I relocated my coil packs and I will have to have some custom lengths. I can easily get some wire and run it through the boots that I already have. The main problem is the connector end that goes to the plug. Quote
Stevo Posted December 30, 2005 Report Posted December 30, 2005 Any chance that your relocation can still use the same lengths but in a different way??? Quote
joey b Posted December 30, 2005 Author Report Posted December 30, 2005 yes, but it requires 2 sets of 96 wires. Quote
EurosportZ34 Posted December 30, 2005 Report Posted December 30, 2005 why can't you just get Magnecor wires for a 1996 DOHC? Quote
joey b Posted December 31, 2005 Author Report Posted December 31, 2005 I would have to buy 2 sets. I'd like to find a more economical way. Quote
ShockTherapy Posted December 31, 2005 Report Posted December 31, 2005 a buncha people have done coil relocation, just see how they run their wires. Quote
