toastemcutlass
as some of you know i eventually want to put in a manual. now i know i need a new chip for the ecm but my question is why? will it atleast run until i can get a new chip. also since they didn't have the maf sensors in the years the 3.4s had manuals is there a way my chip can be flashed and reprogramed to work? webxfx
did a search and this is the best I found, I have a 96 with LQ1 and would maybe also want to do the swap - this where a way to upgrade the computer?
chadz34
The AT ECM has a neutral switch that IIRC will make the car stall while slowing down.
Robby1870
Plus, a 96 is an OBDII car and the original post was in reference to an OBDI car (IIRC). Thus, you'd need to have your entire ECM reflashed (not sure if a manual trans flash is available).
