Keyless Entry Reciever

I have a few questions on a new keyless entry reciever

 

1.) Where can i find one

 

2.) If i do find one will i have to get the remote from the same donor car or will mine be able to be reprogrmmed and if so how

 

3.) Would it be possible to install a reciever that turns the lights on? ANd if so from which car (with my old style remote)?

ok...let me take a stab @ these...

 

1)junkyard...or make a post looking for one in the WTB section

 

2)the remote doesnt have to be from the same car, it just has to be the same style remote that would have came with the car originally...i believe there is a thread in the FAQ that will tell you how to program the keyfob

 

3)i'm sure its possible, you would just need a relay...

i have seen the remotes on ebay many times, and you could get them at a junk yard also.

 

and you cant just get the reciever from that car for the lights to flash or blink. you would have to wire something up the the door locks and the turn signals. i bet it can be done, but i dont know how it could be.

because yours is a 91 cutlass i assume, Grand Prixs, Cutlass's and Regals had them, i think cutlass's do, i pulled one from a J/Y here but it was toast
