Hairdo12 Posted December 27, 2005 Report Posted December 27, 2005 I got sick of the terrible rasp for the first 5 miles of driving so I found myself a Euro 3.4 and pulled the exhaust off of it. Guy at the yard told me to just take it for nothing. I'll post some pictures if any one is interested, I just have to fix the one muffler because its hanging a little crooked. Quote
93CutlassSupreme Posted December 27, 2005 Report Posted December 27, 2005 never had a rasp with my flowmasters Quote
19Cutlass94 Posted December 27, 2005 Report Posted December 27, 2005 Im thinking of getting rid of my resonator to get a little more sound out of my Dynomax.... but the flowmasters sounded pretty good on your car93CutlassSupreme, Quote
Hairdo12 Posted December 27, 2005 Author Report Posted December 27, 2005 I got a terrible rasp when the system was cold after I replaced the catalytic converter. Quote
mfewtrail Posted December 27, 2005 Report Posted December 27, 2005 Mine isn't raspy either, it is however about twice as loud as usual when it's cold. Quote
JNGTP94 Posted December 27, 2005 Report Posted December 27, 2005 it happends when a baffle kinda loosens up... my left ones doing it now but ive had them for 3 years... only lasts for like the first 5 mins though then they sound amazing Quote
Euro Posted December 27, 2005 Report Posted December 27, 2005 get new mufflers with the euro 3.4 exhaust...not those like 8 inch tall stockers that stick WAY to far down past the bumper Quote
Hairdo12 Posted December 27, 2005 Author Report Posted December 27, 2005 get new mufflers with the euro 3.4 exhaust...not those like 8 inch tall stockers that stick WAY to far down past the bumper yes i noticed that Here is what it looks like. The one muffler still hangs a little crooked compaired to the other. The last picture is of the old flowmaster after 4 winters in Buffalo. I patched it a while back with JB cold weld and it held for about 7 months. Quote
Euro Posted December 27, 2005 Report Posted December 27, 2005 yeah...looks kinda weird like that and your flowmaster had a big hole in it...thats why it was rasping all the time Quote
SigEpCutlass Posted December 27, 2005 Report Posted December 27, 2005 I'm not a fan of the new exhaust system. I'm with Eurosport. If that hole was there, that was definately causing it. Quote
GOT2B GM Posted December 27, 2005 Report Posted December 27, 2005 Get rid of those NASTY turn down tips on your new exhaust Quote
GP1138 Posted December 27, 2005 Report Posted December 27, 2005 Get rid of those NASTY turn down tips on your new exhaust They look like little floppy turd dicks. Quote
Hairdo12 Posted December 27, 2005 Author Report Posted December 27, 2005 lol, patience everyone. I am going to stick with this through the winter and then in the spring I am going to get some flatter mufflers and better tips. Please note this really isn't a "new" exhaust system. Quote

White93z34 Posted December 28, 2005 Report Posted December 28, 2005 from what i understand thats the "proper" tail pipes that a euro 3.4 would have, when you get rid of them let me know i'll take em. Quote
Euro Posted December 28, 2005 Report Posted December 28, 2005 really....ive never seen tail pipes like that on euro 3.4's....all the ones ive seen come straight out the back Quote
GOT2B GM Posted December 28, 2005 Report Posted December 28, 2005 I thought Euro 3.4's came factory with quad tips. Quote
