ron350
What was the last year W-Body that had seatbelts in the front doors?
DiscoStudd
96 GP Coupe was the last model to have them. Every W except for the 2-door GP received the pillar-mounted belts starting in 95 (although I believe the GP sedans got them in 94...) Navybass
The 94 GP coupes had them in the door also. Mine does.
ron350
Noticed something scary on my 96 Regal front seat belts. Where the belt passes through the hole in the ABS plastic, where the belt is anchored at bottom of pillar, the plastic is sharp. Looks like I need to clip something around the seat belt to protect it from the sharp plastic. Has anyone noticed this on their car?
DiscoStudd
The covers on my belts aren't sharp, but I have a coupe, so they're probably different than the sedan's pieces. If you're concerned about the belt getting sliced, remove the covers. You'll need a Torx T-50 or 55 to get the anchor bolt out (and a cheater bar if they've never been removed before...)
