dohc v6 Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 I bought the ffp mount a long time ago maybe 2 years. well recently the poly bushings inside the mount are very loose. like i can move the bushing in the mount. i think the rsm one is better. should i just have the ffp drilled out and stick a solid piece of poly in there. GOT2B GM Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 The RSM one is just a factory mount with poly bushings in it. Quote
gp90se Posted December 23, 2005 Report Posted December 23, 2005 contact them and see if they will do anything about it h Quote

SigEpCutlass Posted December 23, 2005 Report Posted December 23, 2005 from what I hear Michael is a nice guy. Maybe he'll give you a replacement free of charge, or atleast at a reduced rate? Quote
dohc v6 Posted December 23, 2005 Author Report Posted December 23, 2005 15 for 2 piece and there are 4. of them. it was not designed right. Quote
dohc v6 Posted December 23, 2005 Author Report Posted December 23, 2005 if you take the aluminum spacer out that holes two pieces of poly together Quote
GOT2B GM Posted December 23, 2005 Report Posted December 23, 2005 So the poly bushings in the FFP mounts are 2 piece bushings?? Quote
5speedz34 Posted December 25, 2005 Report Posted December 25, 2005 So the poly bushings in the FFP mounts are 2 piece bushings?? Yeah, we found this out at the W body meet. The poly over time is going to where out a little and move enough that you can take it out of the dogbone, but I don't think it should affect performance. Quote
19Cutlass94 Posted December 27, 2005 Report Posted December 27, 2005 Shoulda lasted more than 2yrs.... Quote
z34Phoenix Posted December 28, 2005 Report Posted December 28, 2005 lol i dont see why the factory DB dont last that long Quote
19Cutlass94 Posted December 28, 2005 Report Posted December 28, 2005 When I took the factory dogbone out last april, it was in great condition, and that was like what 10-11yrs its been in there? I dont know how you guys can go through these things?! Quote
Prospeeder Posted December 28, 2005 Report Posted December 28, 2005 lower mounts go out, and causes accelerated wear on the upper mounts Quote

Sorry, I park in a garage As do I. 8) At my old house though, I went through a set of standard replacement dogbones in a little over a year from having to park in a steep driveway. Quote
