1BADVR4 Posted December 24, 2005 Author Report Posted December 24, 2005 I would never use IPA (isopropyl alcohol) in my washer fluid. IPA is commonly used as a paint thinner. Yeah, you aren't using that strong of a concentration but why risk it? This is the same damn thing! A precise blend of ice-melting alcohols ensure premium performance at even severely reduced temperatures and prevents dangerous re-freeze from forming on windshields Prestone Dirt Blocker coats windshields with a unique formula. Novel organo-modified siloxane copolymers in this formulation impart a durable a hydrophobic surface on the windshield that prevents road spray from adhering to windshield glass by moving dirt particles I will dump a bottle directly on my paint to prove a point if I have to.
