dbtk2 Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 141: H02S heater performance anyone know what in the world these mean? Something about your 02 sensor heater not working properly...it probably isn't heating up quick enough. Might need a new 02 sensor. Have no clue what the other one is, and don't have my book in front of me to look it up. Shawn Quote
stockgp Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 the first code means that it is taking too long for your h20s to detect proper voltage. most likely nothing serious. it's probably telling you to get a block heater the second code is the transmission fluid pressure manual valve position switch. check your tranny fluid first, it's probably a bit low Quote
stockgp Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 oh and check the fuse at the ignition feed for the ho2s 2 Quote
93CutlassSupreme Posted December 23, 2005 Report Posted December 23, 2005 that car sounds like a piece of shit. Quote
93CutlassSupreme Posted December 23, 2005 Report Posted December 23, 2005 Way to contribute yet again! every week Chris makes a new post about a new problem with that car. just stating the obvious. Quote
pwmin Posted December 23, 2005 Report Posted December 23, 2005 it is a Powertrain (P) GM Specific (1xxx), Transmission (x8xx). hopefully the O2 sensor thing is the sensor but it could be a wire or other things, but thats a 2-wire without a heat wire so its prob not a wire. hopefully its just low on tranny fluid, well, no too low Quote
Canada Posted December 23, 2005 Report Posted December 23, 2005 The O2 sensor code means that the heater isn't working right.....replace the O2 sensor. It has nothing to do with an engine block heater. That second code means you have to access the valve body of the transmission. Quote
White93z34 Posted December 23, 2005 Author Report Posted December 23, 2005 i have the utmost doubts that the car being a 1997 model has ANYTHING to do with these problems considering everything was completely rebuilt, and the engine trans has no more then 5000 miles on them and honestly, i really don't think "stateing the obvious" is any sort of way to contribute. we ended up disableing the O2 code that was getting set, its a brand new sensor. and the secondary 02 is disabled anyways. the only code that worries me is the transmission code, the fluid level is fine, but we cleared the code and i'm hopeing it dosen't come back, because if it does i really don't know where to go from there. but anyhow, thanks for the help so far, i aprichiate it. Lou305sr Posted January 2, 2006 Report Posted January 2, 2006 scanned the car tonight and heres what i got: 141: H02S heater performance 1810: TFP valve position SW. Circut anyone know what in the world these mean? I had the 1810 code on my 97 gtp too... led to a few other tranny codes showing up... Try looking at the fluid for signs of dirt or burnt smells... Clutch problems can lead to this or this to clutch problems. Also if you have an after market or moded PCM try putting the stock one back in. Mine was over heating the tranny a little. And i know it might sound a little redundant or obvious when i said to check the fluid... Quote
White93z34 Posted January 3, 2006 Author Report Posted January 3, 2006 well i supose i could give an update on the car, right about the time i posted the good ol factory resionator got a big hole in it, so he quit driving the car till we get a new resonator in, so thats taken what little time we have to give to the car. once we get that in we will replace the radiator and see where that gets us. as for changeing back to a stock PCM, i don't see that hapening ever, i feel (and for all i know i'm wrong in this assumption) that the car is too modified to really go back right now.
