I have a chain.... lets drag the sh.. out of them Go and get some A/C Rapidfire 8's right now! no no no... basic plugs are perfect for our application. Multi tipped plugs will foul out much faster as the spark is not continuosly using the same spot on the pronged electrode tips, so eventually maybe only 1 electrode tip is still functional, but will still be slightly fouled, making it weaker the the basic plug. btw, I pull and clean my plugs about every two years (about 40,000 miles) other then a mild cleaning and quick check for gap, I have had NO issues with the basic AC Delco plugs. DOHCRagtopguy Posted December 30, 2005 Report Posted December 30, 2005 I will agree to disagreee with you, I've been running those Rapidfire 8's in my wife's LQ-1 for quite some time and they are absolutely superior to stockers. My Olds is due for new plugs soon and that's what is going in there. I mean the stockers are very good, but Rapidfires are best! Quote
Crazy K Posted December 30, 2005 Report Posted December 30, 2005 actually they sound pretty good lol I was thinking of a mutitiple tip plug... my bad! hmmm... when I'm rich I'll try some! What stores carrry them? cost? http://www.acdelco.com/html/pi_plugs_rap_closer.htm Quote

DOHCRagtopguy Posted December 30, 2005 Report Posted December 30, 2005 I seem to recall getting mine from Parts America for around 4 bucks each. Glad to hear that you got your machine running, what exactly was the culprit? Quote
92pontiac s.e. Posted January 1, 2006 Author Report Posted January 1, 2006 I had real low compression in the cylinders from trying to crank the car over and over,2 lines were crossed on the coils from when i put in the new i.c.m. And of course,Fouled plugs Quote
Crazy K Posted January 1, 2006 Report Posted January 1, 2006 That would do it. running perfect now or just running? Quote
92pontiac s.e. Posted January 2, 2006 Author Report Posted January 2, 2006 The car runs fine,But i still have a problem w/the way the car idles,Sometimes it idles fast,Sometimes it doesen't,But it was doing that before the i.c.m. went out,So that's next on the list. Quote
