Adjusting Doors

Well, depends on how deep you want to get your feet wet. There's no basic adjustmet... you can either:

a.) raise the door pin on the frame of the door

b.) bend the door, literally! It's crude, but I know a good friend in the business and if only one part fits, take a knee to it and pull it toward you to get the fit you want...

c.) otherwise, tear down some of the trim to gain access to the door bolts / hardware and with a buddy, losen them and re-align the door.

d.) take off the door, and replace the pins on the hindge. After so many slams and closures, the age has taken it's toll...

e.) or take it to a body shop and see where they can get you with either some helpful tips or re-alignment there.

Myself and my dad replaced door on our Celebrity station wagon and that was a learning experience. Once you'll pull / loosen those bolts, you'll have one hell of a time to get it where you want it.

My Z34 had the same problem and the way I fixed that problem was to loosen the top hinge bolts on the door side and swing the top of the door in just a little, but not to much. it seals things very nicely. DO NOT loosen the bottom hinge bolts :!: :!: :!: :!:
