Pyle
I just picked up a new pcm and going to put it in, just verifying how to do it. 1. disconnect batt 2. open up airbox 3. pull out bolts holding harness into old pcm 4. pull out harness 5. plug in and bolt up harness into new pcm 6. close up box 7. reconnect batt Am I missing anything? 99RegalGS
Sounds right for a 2nd gen W.
digitaloutsider
Be EXTREMELY careful with the plugs for the PCM. They get VERY fragile over time and will break apart.

digitaloutsider
I'm not sure if it's from the heat or what, but I see '97+ GTP ones break all the damn time.
Pyle
With a lot of hesitation I swapped them out and started her up, holding my breath of course :? . Everything started up fine and no SES lights came up. Can I assume I did it right?
manitcor
yes, you may notice the car slightly stumbling at idle or not running as well as before, this will change over time as the PCM re-learns its parameters for your car. sl3196
If the ses light pops on you'll probably need a case learn.
