Robby1870
drill a hole in the tube of your cold air kit and put the MAT/IAT sensor in there. Robby
JS91Z34
I drilled a hole on the side of my intake and put my MAT/IAT sensor there and seems to work quite well :yak:
Bake82
I got an 88 cutlass with a MAF and I am wanting to put a CAI on it too. Can I drill a hole in the pipe and stick it in that way or what? cuz it seems to me like it's like a credit card shape and not round. Anybody done this? let me know please...thanks
Robby1870
MAFs are different. You have leave that stock MAF with your CAI. Probably put it between the filter, Im assuming a cone filter, and your new intake tubing. Its hard to mess with a MAF setup, unless you get a new, bigger MAF, which I dont think is available. RedZMonte
On the MPFI intakes w/ a MAF sensor you clamp the filter to the MAF and then clamp the MAF to the intake pipe. you need to keep the MAF in the airflow of the incoming air so that it can measure how much air is flowing past it. hope this helps.
