92pontiac s.e. Posted December 13, 2005 Report Posted December 13, 2005 I went to start my 92 pontiac G.P. yesterday And it wouldn't start. It has the 3.4 d.o.h.c. engine,It turns over but it won't fire. I have absolutely NO idea what's wrong with it. I can smell fuel when i'm trying to start it,So i don't know if it's dumping excess fuel for whatever reason, something wrong with the fuel pump,e.t.c.,It's been quite awhile since the car had a tune up.Thanks for any and all help. DiscoStudd Posted December 13, 2005 Report Posted December 13, 2005 Crank sensor, coil packs, and/or the Ignition Control Module (ICM) are the usual suspects. Replacing the Coil Packs and ICM as one complete unit is a good place to start. You can usually get the complete assembly from a boneyard for around $50... Quote
