TeeJay3800 Posted December 8, 2005 Report Posted December 8, 2005 My ECC has been making a weird hissing noise on really cold mornings. After a cold start, a loud hissing sound comes from the unit itself, whether its on or off. I know it's vacuum related as the sound changes with different RPM/throttle. What's making this noise and is it repairable? Thanks in advance. This is my unit: Quote
Supreme Cutlass Posted December 8, 2005 Report Posted December 8, 2005 It's probably one of the colored vacuum lines under the dash. I would also check the switch that has all of the vacuum lines hooked into it, it's right above the "convenience center" on the passenger side. Quote
TeeJay3800 Posted December 8, 2005 Author Report Posted December 8, 2005 This is my unit: Stupid CarDomain!!! I'm at work so I can't pull a pic of it off my comp. It's the C68 ECC used from '88-'94. Quote
