Cutlass87
i have no idea what is wrong with my car now. It accelerates very good in 1st gear and shifts into 2nd good too, but when I hold the gas pedal down normal to maintain a speed the tranny seems like it can't figure out what gear to change to. i just changed the filter today to see if it was just a clogged filter and it wasn't gettin fuel in the engine, but that didnt help at all. I can floor it in 1st and it will get up and go, but when it shifts into 2nd it starts hesitating and the RPMs will vary about 200 to about 500+ RPM. Does anyone know what is wrong or has had this problem before? any help is appreciated...

Dirty Rockstar
I just had this problem.. Turned out to nbe a bad wire.. Arcing real bad.. Did plugs, wires, filter, etc and shes runnin like a top now.. In fact, just took me 102 miles one way to Mapleton MN to pick up some lowering stuff for the Lumina.. Was flyin an average of 90 the whole way and she kept runnin.. 3k, not even a quiver.. As stated, check with the ignition system.. Start with the cheapest first though.. Plugs.. Wires.. THen move into the spendy stuff..
