mfewtrail Posted January 16, 2006 Report Posted January 16, 2006 My '90 TGP was built 8/30/1989(Wednesday as well ) Prospeeder's car was built on a Wednesday also. Seems like Wednesdays were popular for turbo GP's.... For those of you that need a 1989-1990 calendar go here. http://www.flicklives.com/Timeline/1989_cal.html http://www.flicklives.com/Timeline/1990_cal.html Quote
dbtk2 Posted January 16, 2006 Report Posted January 16, 2006 How do you figure out the date other than the sticker on the drivers door? (my sticker in the STE is blank :x ) Shawn Quote
Prospeeder Posted January 16, 2006 Report Posted January 16, 2006 yours must be washed out, happends from rain and washing and what not, or peoples kids look at it and try to peel it off, lol other than that, i THINK you can take your VIN to the dealer and they will print you off a new sticker, but im not sure Quote

The dealer would probably charge me like $5+ for the sticker though....damn theives... Quote
digitaloutsider Posted January 16, 2006 Report Posted January 16, 2006 Take your VIN to the dealer and have them print you up an RPO sheet. I'll look like this: Quote
Guest TurboSedan Posted January 16, 2006 Report Posted January 16, 2006 Take your VIN to the dealer and have them print you up an RPO sheet. i need to do that for my car...the SPID sticker is no longer on the spare tire cover Quote
dbtk2 Posted January 17, 2006 Report Posted January 17, 2006 yours must be washed out, happends from rain and washing and what not, or peoples kids look at it and try to peel it off Yeah, I've never heard of this happening before on any other car....not to mention a car thats been garaged its whole life and only has 80k on it. Prospeeder Posted January 17, 2006 Report Posted January 17, 2006 My cars only got 71k on it, and its starting to come off from water and crap. i garentee you a magic fairy doesnt come by and erase or peel them off Quote
kuntzie Posted January 17, 2006 Author Report Posted January 17, 2006 my ste has 115k miles and it was treated like crap and its still funny on there.... my TGP is mint and its stillon there perfectly.... lucky i guess Quote
dbtk2 Posted January 17, 2006 Report Posted January 17, 2006 i garentee you a magic fairy doesnt come by and erase or peel them off That depends on what chemicals you use to clean your door jams. My grandfather owned a detail shop and I worked there from when I was 12 until he passed away a few weeks ago. I brought my car in one day (well actually a lot of days, but just talking about one particular day right now) When I cleaned the drivers door jam one day I wasn't paying attention, and viola blank sticker..... The sticker is still perfect on my dads TGP with 142k+ miles on it last time I checked. Shawn Quote
Bossman429 Posted January 17, 2006 Report Posted January 17, 2006 My RPO code list from the dealer doesn't list the build date. :? I think it was 6/90 or 7/90, late 90 is all I can remember. The previous owner thought it was a 1991. Quote

Bossman429 Posted January 17, 2006 Report Posted January 17, 2006 I'll definitely have to check, I don't even remember seeing an ASC sticker except on the GTS. I just remember it being late 90. Quote
Bossman429 Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 TTT... Washed the TSTE today, and remembered to look: GM sticker: 4/90 ASC sticker: 5/2/90 That is off of my memory, so I'm not 100% sure. Quote
