Pabz Posted December 5, 2005 Report Posted December 5, 2005 Push the button and it doesnt go down, could be the cold?? No latches anywhere. Am i missing something? Quote
supreme_style21 Posted December 5, 2005 Report Posted December 5, 2005 Aren't they supposed to latch at the windshield? There HAS to be a latch SOMEWHERE... it won't stay up under its entire own will. Quote
J Posted December 5, 2005 Report Posted December 5, 2005 i could be wrong but on my sunbird the latches were on the sides, next to the visors EDIT i wouldn't lower it in the cold, i remember a guy in highschool with a laberon convertable and he lowered it in january and he couldn't get the top back up Quote
jeremy Posted December 5, 2005 Report Posted December 5, 2005 you shouldn't put the top down in weather colder the 60* Quote
chadz34 Posted December 5, 2005 Report Posted December 5, 2005 Your fucked if you get it down, it might not come back up. You also risk the chance of something breaking. But, xtremelumina92 is right, you should be able to see latches clearly. Quote
Crazy K Posted December 5, 2005 Report Posted December 5, 2005 they are hiding behind the left and right edge of the first bow of fabric of the headliner/ceiling roof, the edges of this panel velcro in place coving the latches. BUT don't roll the top down unless you hae it in a heated garage so as the not "wrinkle" or crack any brittle roof fabric. Trust Me. You chould see my roof. Quote
ns87 Posted December 6, 2005 Report Posted December 6, 2005 my friend lowered his miata top in the cold. his back plastic window cracked big time. If the CS has a glass rear window, ignore me Quote
GnatGoSplat Posted December 6, 2005 Report Posted December 6, 2005 I believe it does say in the convertible supplement something about not lowering the top below 40-something degrees or so. Quote
chadz34 Posted December 6, 2005 Report Posted December 6, 2005 Why did you want it down when it's that cold out? Quote
94CutlassSLCoupe Posted December 6, 2005 Report Posted December 6, 2005 I wouldn't lower it in the cold, but FYI they have glass back windows...should have a rear window defogger too LOL Quote
