I can understand why you would not want to put a new engine with a dying tranny... just makes for more work when you gotta yank the engine out again to change the tranny.

 

Anyways I'm with the other guys.... change the headgaskets. Sounds like a cheap and possible permanent solution.

that liquid aluminum stuff clogs the heater core. (at least it did in our 84 Impala)

 

seriously.. fix the headgaskets and make some more sig pics like the one you have!! I'd kill for a 1.5 gen 3.4 Lumina.

fix the headgaskets the right way and don't try and use a sealant. i definately agree that could make thigns worse.
