Between 5k and 10k depending on how I drove, what the weather is like, and if I got the $ or not. I check it frequently and if it starts looking excessivily old I'll change it right then and there. J Posted March 12, 2003 Report Share Posted March 12, 2003 I use a synthetic blend called schaffer, it's about 6 bux a quart but i get it for free (fiancees dad gets it as a "gift" from a business partner) they give you a lil bottle to take a sample of your oil at 4,500 miles and send it to them and they tell you whats in it (metals, gas, coolant) and where the different metals could be from. I like it a lot, i used to use mobil 1 only cuz i could do a full service LOF for like $8, (used to work at Penske and tell them it was regular!)
