SaberZ Posted March 9, 2003 Report Posted March 9, 2003 Hey guys, being the nut ball i am with my wrangler(even tho my bro drives it, i constantly check the fluids ect, force of habit ) I noticed that my tranny fluid is brown(getting dark brown), doesnt smell burnt tho. Wrangler has 120,000 Miles on it. I heard/read u shouldnt change the tranny fluid if its burnt. I mean, if i hold it to the sun, and angle the dip stick in some weird way i guess it has a dark red hue(more brown tho). So im stuck as to what to do Quote
Robby1870 Posted March 10, 2003 Report Posted March 10, 2003 Change it and the filter. Yep, pan gasket while your at it Robby Quote
SaberZ Posted March 10, 2003 Author Report Posted March 10, 2003 I'm taking it in this thursday most likely. should i add that Lucas Tranny Oil ? for safe measure, or don't bother with it? Thanks in advance Quote
SaberZ Posted March 13, 2003 Author Report Posted March 13, 2003 Well I got the fluid changed. 109 dollars for a full tranny fluid flush and refill. Jeep Shifts lot smoother, got a wheel alignment and oil change done as well. Took it to goodyear tire service center. Oh and if you have Good Year Tires on your car they will do a FREE tire rotation. I gotta pick up some new shoes for the impala, probably another pair of EAGLE GA's tho im kinda in love with the Eagle HP's since they look more aggressive and have longer tread life. Quote
