Jeorge Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 Should I sell My STE turbo? or Keep it? I know I could get about 2000-2500 for it. The reason why is there is this 91 3.4L 5spd STE for sale. and I do have the money for the 91Ste how ever Thats all the money I will have Left after Paying off taxes on my house & paying back other bills too. and I was hopping to get new carpet and paint for my house how ever if I dont sell my STE turbo I will not be able to do those things. so what shall I do I can find another STE turbo any time but how often will I see a 3.4 5spd when I have the money? what do you guys/gals think? should I sell My STE turbo and get a 3.45spd or should I just keep my STE turbo? NORBI Posted March 9, 2003 Report Posted March 9, 2003 Is the 3.4 a 4 door or 2 door? becuase if it was a 2 door i would take it becuse i dont like 4 door cars. Quote
SuperBuick Posted March 10, 2003 Report Posted March 10, 2003 Do it man, I regret selling my 3.4 5-speed already. Trust me, do it. The turbos are way more available still, you can always pick up another one later. Trust me DONT PASS IT UP!!!! -Tom Quote
soccrplayrgtp Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 what are they askin for the other STE? Quote
GnatGoSplat Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 Just convert your STE to a 5-speed using an HM-282. You CANNOT get parts for the 5-speed (HM-284) that comes with the 3.4 DOHC. No way around it, that tranny is serviced as an assembly! :yikes: You can get all the parts you need for an HM-282 though. Quote
Guest Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 Good point, especially if the tranny is going to get a thrashing, heh. Quote
no1kicker Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 yeah, STE turbo 5 speed! You'd be my hero! Quote
