GutlessSupreme
I wouldn't. the turbo's too small for that motor, and a lot of the parts are bolt up to that motor anyway. I'd have a custom setup made.
Slow95MonteCarlo
Is it possible to do a custom setup?
manitcor
yes, its been done at least 2 times beore on 3100 monte carlos I highly reccomend picking up Maximum Boost by Corky Bell if you plan to go the custom route.
Slow95MonteCarlo
does anyone know of any turbos that would fit the engine or a kit that would fit?
EurosportZ34
does anyone know of any turbos that would fit the engine or a kit that would fit? there aren't "kits" for the 3100...most of them are custom made to fit each application IIRC. with enough work/modifications you can prolly get just about any turbo to fit your car. manitcor
common is to use a t4 or a t3/t4 hybrid, compressor and AR sizing is up to where you want your powerband. seriously there are no kits so no one can give you the best awnsers for what you want todo. I reccomend either studying up on forced induction or paying the pros.
19Cutlass94
And paying the pros to do it can get pretty expensive, Your best bet is to do some research on what parts will fit what you want your power to be and diy

If you're asking if something is possible, then asking about a kit to do it, you probably shouldn't be undertaking such a task. I'm not a mechanic, nor am I an engineer... but I know quite a bit about turboing cars, and I would be doing everything but asking generic questions on a forum. Find out whatever you can about your engine, and start looking at compressor maps.

Guest TurboSedan
http://www.donkeypunchperformance.com i don't like that the crossover pipe has NO flex bellows. and after seeing his post on 60*V6 i'd be VERY skeptical about buying anything from him. not saying his stuff isn't good, but his posts made him seem very unprofessional. But who in their right mind would try to apply 11-12 PSI on a stock internal anything? Unless of course you dropped the compression to start with...then you just wait for the rod to smash through the block! 8)

I complety forgot about that kit, I agree there are things that could be better about that particular kit however for the price its not a bad deal. I can personally vouch for the perforamnce and the reliablity of that kit as I have helped assemble a few and driven it. Be prepared to have a good trans. Slow95MonteCarlo
Would the kit from donleypunchperformance.com work on a 95 engine, i know mine doesnt a computer in it?
manitcor
no, you need larger injectors and your computer wont make use of the injectors, you can upgrade to an ODBII 96 harness pretty easily though.
