Navybass
I'm thinking of swapping out my stock mufflers for chrome ones with integral tailpipes. The only problem I see is that the stock mufflers go above the rear valance and the tailpipe curves down then out into an oval tip (94 GP). When I cut the mufflers off the inlet pipes and mount the new mufflers on, will they exit straight out and not lower the rest of the exhaust system? The reason I want to change them is to give my car a nicer exhaust tone and dress up the back a bit.

Kalgorn
Oh, not sure. But if the mufflers do hang too low, I'm sure you could fab up a way of pulling the muffler up with some sort of hanger or bracket to make them flush with the rear bumper. pwmin
never had a problem with mine and my car is lowered. get ss magnaflows, not some shitty ass chrome ricer ones to match your ricer hood. no, im just playing, but seriously dont get chrome mufflers. Navybass
I'm not really worried about the mufflers. I'm more worried about the rest of the exhaust system before the mufflers. That may be a bit tougher to raise. The reason I'm asking is because I don't want to go spend a fortune on these new mufflers, only to find out the exhaust will hang too low. 19Cutlass94
Theres certian types of hangers that have like 5 holes in them and they clamp right onto the pipe, there only like 4 bucks for each one (heavy duty clamp their called) But then you would be able to raise it up a little bit if it hanged too low

Cool. What I meant was that the tips were going to be chrome. For the tips, which ones would look cooler, ovals or double rounds, or maybe double ovals?
