my car has been sitting for about a week because of brake problems and i started it today and it puffed blue smoke for a min or two then cleared up. to my knowladge this is valve seals right? if so, is it ok to leave it until a later time when i can get new ones in there. thanks.

blue smoke is def burning oil. possibly what you think. check it again to see if it was a fluke

Check your PCV before anything else. Its very possible that the valve is stuck and its puking oil into the intake.

i know is dosnt do it enough for me to see from inside the car when im driving it daily, ive only noticed it when it sits for a few days. i also put stp in the oil when i did a change if that makes a difference?

oh man

that has got to be my fucking problem. oil puking into the intake. I pulled my intak off about 1 month ago when i used top end cleaner. It was all dripping with oil like a wet vag. So i didnt think anything of it because i have seen that before so i just cleaned it up and threw it back on. Driving this morning im noticing my oil gauge dropping almost into the red a couple of times.... and when i hit the gas the pressure would actually drop instead of go up....

So i let her sit for an hour, pull the dip stick the sob was bone dry. I feel like a dumb ass becuase i thought i was seeing things the last couple times i started the engine i saw a little puff of blue smoke come out the exhaust, then it was fine... And I wondered why when i used my remote start in the cold the last couple times the engine stumbled and stalled.. jesus christ, the sucker was running on practically no oil. and yet it was still smooth as hell, not even a little noise or anything. 3.1s rock.

so anyway, replace the pcv valve you say? I just did this 15,000 miles ago. could it really be time for a new one again>? what am i saying, of course it is, its a fuckin w/.
