Start of an alternator going out?

I got home from school today and turned on my headlights trying to turn them off (I guess by habit) and my car quickly shuddered... odd. So I turned them of and turned them back on. I noticed the tach drop about 200-300 rpms and go back up, making the car shudder. I did this over and over again to make sure it wasn't just a fluke. Same deal.

When I tried it tonight, it didn't do it at all. What's the deal? Just a random gremlin today?

Same thing was happening to me, my rpms would jump like 1k when my turn signal flashed! And it was getting very difficult to start my car. I figured it could be my battery cables, battery, or ALT. I cleaned the connections w/ a wire brush and that didnt help. I replaced the battery and that fixed things.... for a few weeks. Now its getting hard to start again. It just clicks a few times when I try to start it usually. Im thinking my ALT is a piece of shit, and im going to be pissed off that I spent $60 on a new battery that is already shitting out on me because maybe of my alt. Im pretty pissed off if thats the case.

when mine was going when the brakes were applied would sometimes make the car stall, anything that would take any sorta high draw on the electrical system made the lights dim.
