GnatGoSplat
What is bolt pattern on vetts? how about 1990 era vetts? They are all 4.75", ours is just a little bit bigger than 4.5". So their bolt holes are all shifted out just under 1/8" compared to ours. I think the Vettes had the same bolt pattern since at least the 80's and probably further back. Has anyone looked in to the 2006 Impala or Monte Carlo brakes? I didn't know they would be different, but definitely something to look into. I wonder if anyone on ClubGP has compared the gen 2 brakes to the 06's?
94CutlassSLCoupe
Those brakes looked pretty big through the wheels...though not much different looking than the Gen-II brakes, IIRC

Well then.. elongating the holes would definately be a good, and much cheaper alternative to taking them to a machine shop to be drilled. Next time I'm at the yard, i'm going to start looking at some rear disk brake set-ups on some late 80's-early to mid 90's GM vehicles. Hell... If I can pick up the calipers and rotors(yes used, but good for design) cheap enough, I'll start getting some designs together.
