What is this L67 swap?

Well to supplement the engine you need to mount a turbo iron duke (2.5) in the rear of the car, allowing it to move even faster.

 

It's the only way the guys do the elusive "L67" swap.

You can't do the L67 swap with the Lund-atic hood scoops- at critical engine speed, calculated against the proportional gear ratio of the sound coming out of the supercharger, the engine cover will resonate at 3.14 times the speed of the rear blower blade and will cause the incoming air flow to try and suck the two scoops together, causing the car to accelerate at a negative rate. Ummm... yep, that's correct.

Fuck swapping in an L67! Swap in a 2bbl equipped Iron Duke/THM125 combo from a 80-81 X-Body (preferably from an 80 Buick Skylark.) You'll be screamin' down the streets with 85 horses of Rochester E2ME-fueled fury!!! No, seriously, you'll be screamin'. Screamin' 'cause your car will be slower than a Yugo :lol: ...

How much nitrous do you think a stock Duke could take?

 

Nitrous and Turbocharged Iron Duke...now that's the ticket!

 

Might break the century mark...and then your engine explodes when it can't handle all those extra ponies.

Man, I wanna be part of that!!! I still rue the day I dumped my 85 Grand Am with its HEI-equipped 'Duke. There's no feeling in the world like knowing you're a "Diesel Poser" :lol: . I also deeply miss having to spray a can of starting fluid down the throttle body to get my car started in -20* weather :lol: ...

or my friends 1986 Chevy Clebrity Wagon Duke, oh man, 5 grand nuetral drop i spun the tires for like, 3 seconds :lol: takes like 15-16 quick seconds to hit 60, and another couple of minutes and u hit 85, lol, fun stuff right there
