slick Posted November 14, 2005 Report Posted November 14, 2005 What's the AC Delco Part # for the O2 sensor? I'm talking the one at the rear of the engine if it really makes a difference. Quote
gtped Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 With 3.4 X at manifold p/n 25166816 delco AFS-21 Quote
gp90se Posted November 16, 2005 Report Posted November 16, 2005 might want to look up the heated o2 sensor upgrade, it isnt much more and will increase ya mpg. only have 2 add 2 wires (switched 12+ and a ground) Quote

From rockauto.com, the ac delco sensor was only $34, which seemed a pretty good price. Got a # on the heated one? Quote
gp90se Posted November 16, 2005 Report Posted November 16, 2005 here is the threat from the TGP guys, but I don't know if a 3.4 uses the same. If you research and find out, get back to me, my 3.4 will need an o2 when I put it on the road) http://www.w-body.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=33262&highlight=heated&sid=08ee7e7a8e06bc2810f72bd12c777367 Quote
Guest TurboSedan Posted November 16, 2005 Report Posted November 16, 2005 i'm kinda doubting a heated (3-wire or 4-wire) O2 will help gas mileage very much. it might, but all it really does is put the ECM into closed loop faster when the engine is cold, and the extra ground(s) will help the signal to the ECM as well. fwiw the extra ground wire(s) on a heated O2 will help 'sharpen' the A/F reading when using a narrow band A/F gauge. that's the main reason i want to convert to a 3-wire or 4-wire O2. slick Posted November 16, 2005 Author Report Posted November 16, 2005 Still... I'm starting to think mine is shot. When I first got this car, I had much better mpg than I do now, and it definately doesn't pull as hard as it used to. Everything else, mechanicaly, and I believe finally electrically, is fine. Quote
slick Posted November 16, 2005 Author Report Posted November 16, 2005 Jeff, use AC Delco PN# AFS75 Quote
