Performance Suggestions. Chip and cold air intake

Who makes a good performance chip and cold air intake for a 1994 GP with a 3.1L V6?

I've looked on ebay and saw some inexpensive chips and cold air intakes, but the prices were very inexpensive and worried me a bit.

Any other performance suggestions would also be helpful.

These are not actual "performance EPROM chips". THe ones on Ebay are just resistors that lie to your PCM about the intake air temperature-they just advance the timing. The intakes, don't buy the warm air intake, get a true cold air one( if anyone actually makes them, except me  ) otherwise you won't gain nothing but loud intake sound.

Do you have any instructions on how to make the cool air intakes, or how much do you sell them for?

Also, I heard that there is something in the air intake that pushes hot water through to heat the air. Is that true, and is there a way to bypass that, if it is true?

I am not sure if the 3.1's have that. I think you are talking about the throttle body bypass "mod". Essentially you bypass coolent lines that run into your throttle body to warm up the TB on a cold day. Personally I wouldn't waste my time.

As for chips, dont waste your time with ebay. Thats a total joke. Get one from ben. You can order them from the link under my signature.

I would start out with the basics like a cat back exhaust or a larger throttle body if you have a 3100 you should have a 52mm TB, look for a TB off a 3400 or 2000+ 3100 they have 56mm TBs stock. 8)
