Looking to do a compression test, what should i do with the coils

should i plug in the spark plugs to wires and ground them to prevent shock and killing my coils or should i disconnect the coils?

Whats the safest procedure?

Anyone got figures on the 2.8 L?

The only fuse I have labeled ECM is under the glove box inside the car, is this it?

The one by the fuel pump relay on the driver's side strut tower should be the right one. You might pull all related ICM fuses too, however, if you really want to be safe.

The 20 amp fuse?? I though that was for the fuel pump??

I will ground one plug an crank it and start pulling fuses until i see no spark, couldnt i just unplug the coil pack module? (2plugs on either side?)

You can take off the power connector (small) to the ignition module/coil assembly. Also remove the fuel pump relay

either pull the ecm fuse inside the car, or pull the side connectors off the coil pack. and I think the injector won't fire if you do either of those two things anyway, but you can pull the fuel fuse to be safe too.

All done dood, 150 - 155 psi on all cylinders. That was like 2 weeks ago,

pulled the ecm for the injectors and unpluged the icm on both sides. Dont know if both plugs were for the icm though. no spark. Worked fine.
