cutty Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 I can get a set of steel wheels for winter for my cutlass for pretty cheap, and was wondering if the wheels from a 2005 pontiac bonneville would fit on my cutlass without any spacers. any info is welcome! Quote
pwmin Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 i think theyre the same offset as gen 2 w's. if no one is sure, i would search on cgp. i know people have put them on theirs, specifically autogary from rmcgp and others. Quote
digitaloutsider Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 They won't fit. They don't clear the brakes. Quote
cutty Posted November 4, 2005 Author Report Posted November 4, 2005 well i also just found out the bolt pattern is 5 x 114.3 Quote
pwmin Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 that bolt pattern can be used, iydkta Quote
cutty Posted November 4, 2005 Author Report Posted November 4, 2005 im not sure why they wouldnt clear the calipers, and how would i get the 5 x 114.3 wheels to fit my cutlass?? Quote
pwmin Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 find out the offset and that will tell you if they will hit the calipers or not. its best to use hubcentric rings, but you actually could get away without them, but its not a real good idea. Quote
Burnout524 Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 and how would i get the 5 x 114.3 wheels to fit my cutlass?? They would fit just like how a 5x115 rim would fit. The difference is so small (.7mm) that it'd work... as discussed here: http://www.w-body.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=35210 Quote

cutlsp Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 normal cutlass international wheels have a 42+ mm off set so as long as the off set is lower then 42+mm you should be okay. Quote
cutty Posted November 4, 2005 Author Report Posted November 4, 2005 is there anyway i can measure, so i can find out the offset of these wheels?? Quote
cutlsp Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 I don't know but you might be better off buying steel wheels from a j/y for a w-body or alloy wheels. Quote
pwmin Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 search on club gp. you can pm autogary or i can do it for you if you're not registered there. Quote
pwmin Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 all my stock wheels are 25mm offset. i guess the cutty ones are different? Quote
cutty Posted November 4, 2005 Author Report Posted November 4, 2005 search on club gp. you can pm autogary or i can do it for you if you're not registered there. yeah if you could, since im not registered there, and i have no clue the offset of my wheels. Quote
pwmin Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 i'll pm him as soon as im done checking on here and let you know. Quote
cutty Posted November 5, 2005 Author Report Posted November 5, 2005 i just got some info on the 17" rims i have on my car. the bolt pattern for them is 5 x 100mm/5 x 4.5 and the offset is +45mm. so i really hope those steel wheels will fit. Quote
pwmin Posted November 14, 2005 Report Posted November 14, 2005 he said they have the same offset and they are 7.5" wide. Quote
