3pt1lumina
Ok so you are probably starting to get sick of reading my threads stating the SES light went on.. Well, it's back. Okay, had it coded at advance auto and they pulled 2 codes PO300-- random/multiple cylinder misfire PO303-- cylinder 3 misfire The car runs quirky. Sometimes it runs mint; others it shucks and bucks and feels like it's going to die underneath your foot. SES comes and goes as it pleases (as you all know) The car was tuned up about 12k ago, but ever since it has had this SES come on and go away. What should I do? Should I put a new set of plugs/wires in? Just cylinder 3? idk help me!!thank you!!!
digitaloutsider
I'd start with the plugs and wires first. All of them. AC Delco plugs with AC Delco wires.
DiscoStudd
Get a new set of coils and an ICM. That's exactly what my old 96 Loomie did (even after I replaced the plugs and wires,) and the new ICM/colis cured the problem...
3pt1lumina
approximately, what do coils/ICM run? how easy to install ICM? I am dead positive it has ACDelco plugs, and I THINK it has acdelco rapidfires although I cannot remember.
supreme_style21
Yeah if you've replaced the plugs/wires already, the coil would be next. Followed shortly by the ignition control module. IIRC, coils are around 40 bucks. Don't remember what the ICM runs. Installation is a few tiny bolts and you're on the road.
DiscoStudd
I picked up a complete set from a newer 3400 for $50 at my local "auto recycler."
GP1138
I picked up a complete set from a newer 3400 for $50 at my local "auto recycler." Go to a junkyard, and ask for a known good set of coilpacks and ICM.
slick
That or hit ebay. I got a brand new set of 3400 coils and ICM for $50 shipped.
White93z34
you should just really "need" one coil, i'd start with one coil, then replace the rest.
