dhs1223 Posted October 31, 2005 Report Posted October 31, 2005 The other day when I was lowering the top on my car, I noticed, while lookng in the rear view mirror, that the top was not going down evenly on both sides. What I saw was that the glass window was going down faster on the driver's side than the passenger side, as if the passenger side was sticking momnetarily and then it would suddenly catch up. Does anyone lubiricate the "joints" on their top frame? If so, what do you use and which "joints" require the most attention? I would appreciate any imput as I do not want a failure of the frame. Thank you in advance. Quote

Thank you in advance. When I had my 95 vert' Basically I would lubricate every hinge/joint I could find with grease/silicone lubricant. Kept the operation smooth and I never had any problems! Just put the top back half way, then look at all the joints etc. Lubricate everything you can find! Jason Quote
J Posted October 31, 2005 Report Posted October 31, 2005 use silicone spray on the weather stripping also. Quote
