godofthunder
thanks for those pics. Ill look at my moms tommorw. That is one hughe engine. Debs 3.9 Doesnt look that big, but then again, its in a truck with a RWD tranny and everything, not a car. Ill tell my parrents about that steering thing. I have driven this car a few times up the block (when washing it moving it arround). I personly dont like it. To me, it feels like a boat compared to my CS. Then, the gas pedal has more resistance. So to me, it felt like a slow honky car. Im sure if I REALLY got to drive it, i may feel more of those 250 horsies. It is a beautiful car. If anyones interested, I can take some pics. I do remember when my mom and stepdad, my mom had one complaint. It wasnt loud enough. She was used to her 91 Lumina Euro, that had a rather loud exhaust note (stock 3.1, stock everyhting). I just wish my 3100 sounded like it. My parrents have tossed arround the ideas of looking for a performance exhaust for this thing (the intrepid) Jon
Drache Rott
if they want the intrepid to be louder..make more hp and get some better gas milage...there is one thing they can do and guess what! it's free! in the intake hose chrysler put a stupid hour glass shaped restrictor..it effectivly takes the hose from being almost 3 inches it being like only one inch.....the reason for this is supposedly to make the car quite...well it does do it...but I dont think the gain in quite is worth the lose in gas milage and performance. all you have to do to get rid of it is to take the hose off and use a strong pair of needle nose pliers to yank that stupid thing out and wala..instant upgrade before I forget..this only works on the 3.5 intrepids...the 3.2s dont have it

1trucavalier
i tried that part # and it doesn't match up. when i put in suspension parts for tie rod it came up as a tie rod insulator sleeve $25. Think this is the same part
Drache Rott
hmmm I may have to kidnap the book from work I may have wrote down the # wrong...but it may be getting called a tie rod insulator bushing...the book dosn't really go by the names that I or most mechanics would call things.... 1trucavalier
well if you can could ya post the part # for both of those parts, the other option is to measure the bushing size and replace with the energy suspension tie rod bushings.
