manitcor
takes me a whole 20-30 mins todo plugs on my 3400, no engine rocking neccassary. There is a little more room to manuver with headers than with stock manifolds and heat shields but its not that much harder. running NGK V-Power TR55s with MSD Superconductor 8.5 MM wires
Cam'ron
i am just a little concerned how difficult the backside of this will be

manitcor
werd, not hard at all, if you need some clearance take the coil packs off, though I normally dont.
AWeb80
with MSD Superconductor 8.5 MM wires Will those work with my 3100, are they the same length? and what price are they?
ToroToro
with MSD Superconductor 8.5 MM wires Will those work with my 3100, are they the same length? and what price are they? You'd have to trim them to size I assume, but they'll work for sure.
manitcor
yes they fit the 3100 no problem, but AFAIK they are no longer sold, you can buy Superconductor wire and boots with clips from jegs and make your own though
THe_DeTAiL3R
If it's anything like my car I would tilt the engine cause it will make things easier... undo the dog bones set the e-brake (or have someone sit in the car) Start car and put in reverse (engine will tilt forward) go to the engine and put the bolt through the engine mount, give it a little throttle from up front if you need the engine to tilt more. Easy as PIE!!!
Cam'ron
is that safe???
THe_DeTAiL3R
is that safe??? yes, as long as your ebrake works 100% (if not then have someone sit in the car and apply the brake). It cannot hurt the engine if that's what you're asking.
Cam'ron
will the engine go back to where it should be easily in N or park when your done or do you have to "make" it lean back to where it should be
manitcor
you guys are making this way more complicated than it needs to be, its just spark plugs not a cam or headers
Cam'ron
i was lookin under the hood today at lunch and i cannot even see the rear plugs no matter what angle i was trying to see them from, i am thinking they might be accessible from underneathif nothing else... front ones are plain as day, and i love the wires i have stock... they are numbered lol idiot proof, do one at a time and there is no way i can fuckem up
THe_DeTAiL3R
Yep. With the dog bones off the engine will tilt backwards in drive, forwards in reverse, and in neutral or park it just goes back to normal. Just incase you aren't sure, undo the top of the dogbones, and slip a bolt through the right dogbone into the mount on the engine. (The right dogbone holding the engine tilted for you) (used pics from Jay's car)
manitcor
its real easy no you cant see the rear plugs, and you wont (well I guess if you go through the trouble of rocking the engine you might) go by feel its not to hard, with a spark plug socket the plugs are the only thing the spark plug socket will even fit on. The plug order is easy FIREWALL 135 246 FRONT OF CAR
EurosportZ34
just be happy you don't have the 3.4 DOHC...the 3.1/3100/3400 are tons easier than the quad cam...don't make it seem harder than it actually is
