Is this still the 4T60 tranny?? *pic*

Yeah, it was probably a mid-year thing.

 

I know W's got the 4T60-HD, but not the 4T60E-HD. I am pretty sure early/mid 90's L67 cars like the Park Avenue and Bonneville got the 4T60E-HD though.

didnt they Get the 4T65e-HD? and the bonnevilles w/ L67 got 4T60e-HD

if theres a different name tehn something small has to be different, the use of clutches, or line pressures or maybe the valvebody is just slightly different, or something. If anyone works for GM here they would probably know or would be able to call the help line i guess

4t65e came out with the 97 or 98 body style, didn't it?

Yep. '97.

 

There were still some cars that got the 60e though, according to GM SI. I'm guessing the 3100 cars still got the 4T60e and the 3800 powered cars got the 4T65e.

I heard the Luminas got the 4T60-E all all the way untul they were made for rent a car places ???

 

Anyway, wow I didn't expect this thread to get so big, but oh well....clears a few things up for me!
