RenegadeZ Posted October 24, 2005 Report Posted October 24, 2005 ok here goes, I was thinking the last couple years that all SS Monte's were s/c'd. Then i remember seeing on here some where & some werent my question is, what year did they start making them on all SS's or did they? I'm thinking 2003 but thats just a guess. I did a search but the search was to broad & I have something like a life so I didnt go through them all. I just stopped by a lot & looked @ an 01 SS and when I popped the hood I was surprised just an series II 3800. Shed some light I feel like Jessica Simpson. :? Quote
3pt1lumina Posted October 24, 2005 Report Posted October 24, 2005 SS monte's started in 2000. Before that they were Z34's. From 95-97 they had the 3.4 DOHC engine then in 98-99 they had the 3800 Series II. From 2000-2003 they had the N/A 3800 Series II and in 04/05 they was the option of the supercharged version or the N/A. If I'm wrong, please correct me !! Quote
RenegadeZ Posted October 24, 2005 Author Report Posted October 24, 2005 thanks, yeah I knew about the previous years I just wasnt sure about the 2000 & up being S/C's or N/A. I've noticed, some 02's & 03's say supercharged is this a misprint or was it an option of some sort? Quote
THe_DeTAiL3R Posted October 24, 2005 Report Posted October 24, 2005 I checked out edmunds.com and that appears to be correct (04/05). Quote
3pt1lumina Posted October 24, 2005 Report Posted October 24, 2005 anything below 04 is a misprint I believe. If i come up with any different info, I'll post but I'm 99.9% sure I am correct. I have the dealer brochures nearby somewhere, I'll see if I can find them. try and prove myself wrong maybe...unless someone else can! Quote

No your right I'm 110% sure that '04 was the first year for the L67 in the Monte's. Quote
