Riktar
Changed out the oil pressure sending unit in my daughters car (3.1) today and the guage is reading max all the time except when the ignition is initially turned on. Once the thing is running the guage (blue LCD - Tokyo by Night type) runs right to the top. She picked up the sending unit without me so I can't say what she asked for. Is it possible she got one for a car with "analog" guages? I am summing the sending unit isn't "idiot light" style. Any ideas?
5speedz34
First I would go or call the parts store she got the sender from and see if it the switch type or sender type. Go from there. What style gauges do you have the one w/the tach or w/o?
Pabz
Easy as replacing the sender, just make sure she picked up the right one. When i got mine they just asked for the year and make, no info on cluster. You should be good to go.
Riktar
Thanks for the replies. This is the electronic dash with the tach. My daughter said the only question she was asked was if she had the electronic das or not.
