Would this air pump have anything to do with it running rich??? I really have no idea what it's purpose is other then emissions maybe?? I know my RX-7 has a pump that pumps air right into the cataletic converters and it's supposed to clean up the emissions......however you say you have no cat...I dunno..

No Air pump should'nt have anything to do with it.

other than being upside down, no Wink unless any DRL wiring passes thru there.

When did Canada go to Daily Running lights? I know my 92's manual talks about it, but my '88 makes no mention of it. EDIT: '89 was the year when they went I guess.

BEAUTIFUL!!!!

I had a wire like that on my 3.1 (alternator to battery) because I was to lazy to swap out a bad wire. but that harness is fubard. hardest thing 2 remove is the grounds and a couple plastic clips, but before diagnocing any other issues, get a new harness in there.

Great!

Is there any difference between a Canadian and American harness?

Cuz I might be able to get one from Kuntzie.

wouldnt matter, engine harness is seperate from the headlight harness (AT LEAST IT SHOULD BE)

Well, I found a 5speed harness for $30 bucks if I pull it. I think I'm going to get it saturday.

What tools do I need, I know there are a few grounds and the starter wires that will need to be unbolted. I'm thinking for the clips maybe some needle nose pliers and some flat end screwdrivers. Ohh and a Torx bit for the firewall connector.

Anything else I'm missing?

are you just getting the upper engine harness, or the whole thing?

Well what does the upper engine harness consist of? I always thought when someone said engine harness that meant everything that attaches to the engine, and thats what I plan on getting.

That's pretty much what I thought as well Tony. When we did mine, it was the whole harness.

I'll bring my cheap socket set, and my torx bits. That, and a few screwdrivers and pliers.

needle nose pliers, 8mm, 10mm, a 13mm, a 15mm long, that torque bit, couple size flatheads, and a 12 pack.

leave as many sensors attached to the harness as ya can so you have spares, they usually dont charge extra for maps, IAC, coolant temp, etc etx

UPDATE!

I went to get harness with Chris and the fucker was cut! :bash:

I'm getting a harness soon from a member on here for $63 shipped, a few grounds are cut but that shouldn't be to much of a problem to fix!

Well, I finally got the harness a few weeks ago, and its down with Chris for some TLC. To bad it's Thanksgiving weekend and I should have it back sometime in the next week. Then I'll be doing the harness swap this weekend.
