Jcrow
for installing an amp, a 2-12 box, and running the wires?
jeremy
I wouldn't ever pay to have an amp installed, but most shops around here charge between $40-80 per install.
Jcrow
A friend of a friend bought all this stereo stuff and dosent know what he is doing, so I was called in to rescue
19Cutlass94
well you gotta figure most shops (around here) will charge 60 bucks an hour, so if it takes you 2 hours, theres 120, but to be fair call it like 90.
jdcutty
I usually do them for around 50 bucks, depending on the difficulty of the install.

I think $90 would be fair, no more than that though.

slick
My place charges $60 to install. A few other places around town range from $60-$150. Personally, for a friend, I would charge no more than $30.
Garrett Powered
I saw a friend of mine try twisting a wire together on a 6x9 and made me mad so I bought and installed an entire system from the battery to the amp, and re wired the whole system. We built a wheelewll enclosure with an amp enclosure and I let him borrow my Mobile ES Sony 4 channel amp all for free. Oh yea, and I gave him a sub I had laying around and he has a single 10 firing up at the back glass All for free, beat that. I installed it all, all he had to do is run the deli while I pimped his ride.
96GranSport
Hell, back in the day I would say a case of beer would cover it. Nowdays, I don't drink that much so...
Jcrow
Well, I did it, I only charged him $60. I got lucky and ran the remote wire to his trunk mounted CD changer power. So when you turn on the cd player, the amp comes on. Sounds good

Jcrow
He can listen to the radio just fine, and there was no jimmy rigging.
