Guest RedCutlassSL
is it good or bad? depends on how firm you want your ride to be. personally, for me, that would be good

ctx46
what you could do is find a early 90's cutty coupe (sedans may have em to, but Im not sure myself) and nab the leaf spring helpers out of the rear end....
Brian P
get a spring from a 88-89 W-car, or at least a stiffer rated newer one. I just replaced my '90 stock for one off a 96 Regal (code RFL) mine was only half as thick and it bottomed out without the "spring helpers" And FYfucking I those arent spring helpers on OEM cars, those things are auxiliary springs that indirectly hold the rear of the car LOWER. MOOG sells a set of spring helpers that mount onto a pair of existing rear crossmember bolts and literally press on the top of the spring, had them on my car for like 2 years and, although the ride gets a little harsh (sometimes bouncy) it never bottomed out with 400 lbs in the back, never even sagged, and cornering was awesome. THat was with NO rear swaybar too
Brian P
BTW the spring helpers are part # K6000 look around MOOG Composite Leaf Spring Helper, • Usually ships in 7 - 10 business days. K6000 $98.02 $66.99 Each
RedZMonte
look on your trunk lid cover.. the F41 package was not offered untill the 1995+ Monte carlo if i remember correctly. the FE3 was the upgraded suspension for the 1st gen W-bodies.. FE1 is what came on most 1st gen w-bodies. http://www.w-body.com/upgrades/suspension-swaybars.html RedZ
