Is this something im going ot want to do on my own or just give it to a stealership. 3 things wrong in that general area AC dosnt work waterpump leaks timingbelt is about due. Quote
Kalgorn Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 http://www.w-body.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=31615 I'm not sure what kind of Lumina you have (3.1 or 3.4) but there's a FAQ for replacing the water pump on the LQ1. Quote
sonyman87 Posted October 12, 2005 Author Report Posted October 12, 2005 ok just finished removing and installing! peice of pie:) ?-> how long should i wait to start the car? i mean for the silicon to seal properly i have to work at 2pm and its 10:20 now. Quote
5speedz34 Posted October 12, 2005 Report Posted October 12, 2005 I would wait a day just to be safe for it cure. The package should say how long it takes. Quote
THe_DeTAiL3R Posted October 12, 2005 Report Posted October 12, 2005 I used the blue RTV sealant.. waited a couple hours (better part of a day maybe?) and it was fine. I you *should* be okay if you absolutely must drive it to work. Quote
sonyman87 Posted October 12, 2005 Author Report Posted October 12, 2005 i drove it but made sure to keep the rpms down under 4k. no leaking. the tube with the silicone already cured on the outside so i figured the gasket might be nearly done since its so thin. NO LEAKAGE WOOT! man now my hands are freaking greesy. gotta get cleaned up for work. Quote
