z34_nut Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 Some-one want to tell me how this works? Quote
94CutlassSLCoupe Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 Not sure...but those old Hurst Lightning Rod automatic shifter sure look cool Quote
J Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 The two on the right stay like that, unless u need first and second and the other rod works just like a console shifter Quote
gp90se Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 very easy, if your just driving the car, bring the first lever into D or 3. If you are running down the track and wanna shift manually, throw the first lever into 3, 2ed lever into 2 and the first into 1s. throw each 1 up when you want to shift. There's a few guys who run manual valve bodys with thoes shifters, but it takes some practice. Anyone wanna sell me a setup Quote
19Cutlass94 Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 Thats alomst like a lynco (sp?) but not quite. Quote
stockgp Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 looks pretty ghetto-fied, though :? Quote
manitcor Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 basiccly its a hacked solenoid test Quote
IBuiltMine-o1oo Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 is it factory? if so what did it come in? Quote
gp90se Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 hurst olds, was a "performance" option Quote
5speedz34 Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 I love Hurst/Olds I almost bought one for my first car but didn't have the money. Here I have more at request. Edit: That's in a W-body Cutty Convertible, I wonder how they fabbed that up? Quote
Guest TurboSedan Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 very cool looking, but OMG what a gimmick. Quote
IBuiltMine-o1oo Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 kinda cool...dont see stuff like tht on new cars.....their options are stereos, tvs and heated seats....i like performance options!! Quote
jeremy Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 I think that they look like piss.....it would be neat to have though, only because they aren't very common.... Quote
stockgp Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 it would look better if there wasn't wire loom around the shift levers Quote
digitaloutsider Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 How exactly did they pull that off with a 4T60e? Quote
GnatGoSplat Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 Looks completely pointless to me. I would think it'd be a lot easier to use 1st and 2nd with a regular shifter. Quote
