GnatGoSplat Posted October 7, 2005 Report Share Posted October 7, 2005 Loosen the bolts on the hinge and the trunk will be able to move around. I usually loosen it enough that it can move with some coaxing, but not too loose because it'll move around too much. I discovered after aligning the trunk the best I could, that it was clear the taillights weren't aligned very well either, and then when I tried to align the taillights better, I could tell the reverse light wasn't well aligned, and neither is the bumper. The amounts are small, just 1/8" here, 1/8" there. A lot of it just couldn't be aligned perfectly. Mid-90's American cars definitely aren't good for someone as OCD as I am.
