frusciante fan Posted October 4, 2005 Report Posted October 4, 2005 is this really worth the money? http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=1292&prmenbr=361 Quote
digitaloutsider Posted October 4, 2005 Report Posted October 4, 2005 Wow! Those are a good deal! I might pick those up. I know my friend's Dynomax mufflers sound great, and have awesome build quality. I wonder if their cats are the same way. Quote
Supreme Cutlass Posted October 5, 2005 Report Posted October 5, 2005 Would they have one for a 3.1L? Quote
mfewtrail Posted October 5, 2005 Report Posted October 5, 2005 Would they have one for a 3.1L? They're universal. Just choose one sized up for what you're doing(stock piping size or slightly larger if you're modifying the exhaust). You guys may also want to look into "car sound" cats( you can get them for about the same price as those dynomax cats, but with free shipping on ebay). Car Sound is manufactured by magnaflow(I have one on my TGP and it works fine. 8) ). "Catco" catalytic converters are also pretty cheap on ebay, I know a few people that have ran them without any issues as well. Quote
gp90se Posted October 5, 2005 Report Posted October 5, 2005 Ive got a catco cat on my GP, id passed when it had to, payed $40 shipped Quote
frusciante fan Posted October 5, 2005 Author Report Posted October 5, 2005 but do they really help with performance though? Quote
Kalgorn Posted October 5, 2005 Report Posted October 5, 2005 but do they really help with performance though? Yes. Most stock cats on cars are very restrictive. A car will see a little better performance and gas mileage with a higher flowing catalytic converter. Quote
IBuiltMine-o1oo Posted October 5, 2005 Report Posted October 5, 2005 THOSE ARE PRETTY NICE! THEY SAY YOUR CAT CAN BE SLOWING YOU DOWN IF ITS GOT MORE THEN 30K MILES ON IT, BUT LIKE ME AND THE LUCKY OTHER WYOMING GUYS ON HERE....OUR CATS ARE JUST FOR SHOW! ID DO THOSE IF I HAD TO PASS INSPECTIONS! OPPPS SOORY BOUT THE CAPS IM AT WORK! Quote
