5speedz34
The 88 I just got back from Kevin is missing everywhere but the worst is above 2k. It bucks terribly, and the engine feels like it wants to fall out of the car! What do you guys think? I've been told by a friend of Jays that its the ICM. I plan on giving this whole car a tune up so I kinda am going to have to get all new parts. But I rather diagnose the problem first.
93CutlassSupreme
you gotta give it some love i was always real slow on the clutch and it ran much better for me
slick
I know you have like 5 extra sets of ICM/coil packs, so give that a shot. If that doesn't work, go ahead and do the tune-up. Make sure the plugs are gapped correctly, and the plug wires and nice and tight. Then we'll go from there.

What did I give you just the ICM right? OR coils. Tommorow I'm going to head down to Parts Galore and see if I can pocket a ICM from a car. slick
I got the ICM from you. Also, if your heading to parts galore just to find an ICM, look for a set that is mounted up high(for example, a 3800). I *think* they use the same connectors. ToroToro
My 92 3800 used a completely different connector than my 94 3100. Coils are interchangeable though.

The 3800 uses a single connector. My 3.1 had like 3 or 4, I can't remember.
5speedz34
The 60* motors have 3 connectors, I'm going to see if I can find a 3x00 motor.
94CutlassSLCoupe
3100's ICM/Coils are mounted on the rear valve cover
5speedz34
3100's ICM/Coils are mounted on the rear valve cover Yeah, well I went to Parts Galore and all the ignition modules where gone on the 3x00's and I didn't bring my 5.5mm socket! Ohh and since when is the Cutty DIS 5.5 also?
5speedz34
Well I replaced the ICM and coils with a set I pocketed from the yard. Runs awesome now! Still needs new plugs and wires though.
