Ok i have a 93 Pontiac Grand Prix i wanted to know if 95-99 Monte Carlo lowing springs would Swap eaisly and if dropping 1.6 inches would rub with 18" rims

I believe the 95-99 monte springs are a three bolt set-up....where as ours are a 2 bolt....

What i mean is we have 2 bolts that hold the strut to the strut tower....

I don't think that would be an easy swap....

and no, it wouldn't rub....because i've lowered my GP at least 1.5" all the way around and no problems.

http://www.fastfwdperformance.com has Rear CO's

And I have Suspension Techniques Front lowering springs but i've heard they arn't made anymore.....so ask around for the Intrax front lowering springs.

and replace all 4 struts with KYB's....they are the best

The FFP CO's come with KYB's if you order them.

The front suspension and brakes on '95-'99 Luminas and Monte Carlos are identical to the Gen 1's

The lowering springs for the front will work fine

How sure of that are you?

Option 3: Intrax Suspension. Intrax offers lowering springs for the 95-99 Monte Carlo, Part #25.1.024. The front springs can be used on the front of a first-gen W-body car. They are designed to provide up to a 1.8" drop, although from photos I have seen, the drop is very similar to that of Suspension Techniques. They are a progressive-rate spring which means they are designed to be softer (like factory) under light loading (like small bumps) but are firm under heavy load (like hard cornering). This means they should offer a pretty good overall ride quality. Unfortunately, the rear spring on these cars is a fiberglass mono-leaf. As a result, you will not be able to use the rear springs in the Monte Carlo kit. You can get a set from Summit Racing. Occasionally there may be a Group Buy in the Forum to get the front springs by themselves for less than $100.

i have 245/45's on 8"xlaces that only rub the splash shield sometimes when turned fully and no probs in rear. i'm lowered about 1.5". someone on clubgp swapped the rear towers out from a gen 1.5 (TopendGTP95). you can use the monte fronts, but not the rears.
