lazytik
Hello. So this morning was a little chilly, and I started 'er up. She started smoothly, but was a little knockish, a little louder. However, when I tried to shift into Drive, it was hard to do. And you know how it "clicks" into gear, it wasn't doing that. It was almost like the shifter (its dash mounted) was full of jelly, and it was just not clicking. I managed to put it into drive, and somehow managed to park it at the parking deck at school. In the afternoon, I was coming home, and it shifted beautifully. So, does she not like cold mornings? What can I do? Will it get worse in the winter? Do I need to sell? pwmin
your linkage is probably loose or broken. check the fluid. if it's dark and smells burnt, you need a tranny service. if it's low, that's prob your problem. i'm a little confused by the question, so hopefully i got the gist and am not way off
lazytik
What's confusing you? Chances are it might be confusing other people also. BTW, thanks.
Regal_GS_1989
your linkage is probably loose or broken :withstupid: Check under the hood where the cable gets attached to the tranny, and make sure that the cable is securely attached. I have replaced the cables in console shifted trannys before and it its fairely simple. I have never replaced one on a colomn shift though, so i don' t know what all is involved.
