88Regal Limited Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 Ok this has been bugging me. The regal limited is supposed to be better than the customs (with more options) no? This is the list of options on my regal- Manual windows manual locks AM/FM radio Power antenna Air conditioning PS/PB Blue vinle interior white pinstripe blue paint 2.8 (standerd equip itll 89 when the 3.1 came out) granny shifter What the hell? Not even a tape player... But still a power antenna...... And white93Z34 saw a blue regal CUSTOM with steelies and POWER window and POWER locks. WTF? This car is tarded. Quote
DiscoStudd Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 Maybe whomever ordered your car when it was new chose to "delete" those options and keep the Limited model . I guess you'd need to find the build sheet to confirm, though... Quote
frusciante fan Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 options for my regal custom: power windows power locks power mirrors rear defrost keyless entry dual climate control concert sound II tape deck w/8 band equalizer tilt wheel A/C ABS non-granny shifter (needed to handle the power of the motor) think that's it? can't remember if ABS & A/C were standard. I guess you'd need to find the build sheet to confirm, though... My old mechanics mom ordered the car brand new and never drove it over 55mph. But that thing was NOT babied.....I got it after it stiitng behind a house for god knows how long.... I guess they're retarded? Quote
customgod227 Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 I think that would be a step up from the base model. The best models come the with the 3800 series 1 Tuned Port Injection, and with standerd stuff like abs, pw,pl,floor shifter, power attenna, leather seats, dual climate controls, and at least a cassette player. mihela816 Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 non-granny shifter (needed to handle the power of the motor) What? You need a floor shifter to handle the 3800's awesome 160HP? Quote

Nope, only the 91+ models came with the 3800 as on option. Ok this has been bugging me. The regal limited is supposed to be better than the customs (with more options) no? IIRC, the only real difference between the a Custom with no added options and a limited with no added option was a different style of seats and upper door fabric coverings, and the limited had the wood pannel insert under the rear windows. Someone can correct me if i'm wrong. Quote

Brian P Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 it's the same deal with earlier Cutlass Supreme base and SL. The only real difference are some subtle exterior moldings, and fabric/seat patterns. Quote

Guest Anonymous Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 Its kinda like how you could get a 91-3 GTP with a base cassette and cloth seats, yet have an SE fully loaded with leather AQ9's, HUD, DIC and the CD... Quote
93CutlassSupreme Posted September 29, 2005 Report Posted September 29, 2005 GM has always been like that and still are. my Cutlass SL has a column shifter and bench seats, and my Colorado LS had manual windows and locks, but a MP3 player Quote
NORBI Posted September 29, 2005 Report Posted September 29, 2005 From every basic model you can change it to a fully loaded one , it took me couple years but from my 88 Cutlass SUpreme base i made it into fully loaded one with every option they had even HUD and DIC and leather, floor shifter etc. Quote
