bogart219 Posted September 26, 2005 Report Posted September 26, 2005 Can someone tell me exactly what comprises the W-body family? What makes and year range does this cover. Thanks for the clarification! Quote

THe_DeTAiL3R Posted September 27, 2005 Report Posted September 27, 2005 buick century 96ish (i think) and up I always forget that one. Quote
DiscoStudd Posted September 27, 2005 Report Posted September 27, 2005 The "Sentry" came aboard the "W Ship" in 97 (IIRC, 05 is the last year,) and the Lumina ran until 01. Otherwise that list is correct. Quote
Dirty Rockstar Posted September 27, 2005 Report Posted September 27, 2005 Prior to 97, the Century was in the ol ABody family.. Quote
bogart219 Posted September 27, 2005 Author Report Posted September 27, 2005 Thanks for the info. Going by the chart, I guess that means my 99 olds cutless is not a W-body car. Does anyone know a different forum or site for this year car? thanks so much Quote
THe_DeTAiL3R Posted September 27, 2005 Report Posted September 27, 2005 99 Olds Cutlass? The last year for them was 97. Are you sure you aren't talking about the Alero or something? Quote
GOT2B GM Posted September 27, 2005 Report Posted September 27, 2005 In the states they had a cutlass on the N - body(?) chassis. Sister cars to the Malibu, just subtle differences. Quote
GnatGoSplat Posted September 27, 2005 Report Posted September 27, 2005 I found a site http://www.n-body.net/ Quote

THe_DeTAiL3R Posted September 27, 2005 Report Posted September 27, 2005 Well I'll be damned! I knew I saw that car before somewhere... kinda rare (around here anyways). I can't remember the last time I saw one, they must be more rare than the Olds minivans and SUVs. Quote

bogart219 Posted September 27, 2005 Author Report Posted September 27, 2005 C-Bad, Its an 99 olds cutless GL. From what I understand This was the last year this car was made. 97,98 and 99 are basically all the same. They had a GLS model also. Thanks for the links guys Quote
DiscoStudd Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 I found a site http://www.n-body.net/ Yep. I've been a member over there since I bought my Classic Malibu. Don't go over there expecting to find a crowd like you'll find over here, though! Another site you might be interested in is http://www.malibuclub.ca seeing as your car is just a badge-engineered Malibu. For those who don't know, the 97-99 Cutlass was just a stopgap for Olds to hold onto the Ciera and Achieva customers until the Alero was introduced (the Achieva was a fleet-only car in 98.) Like I mentioned before, it's obviously a badge-engineered Chevy Malibu... Quote
